SPECIALIST PROTEST SECURITY FIRM HAVE SET UP A BASE IN STOKE HAMMOND |

A security base was discovered on the northern end of the route on Monday 24th January, near Stoke Hammond. The name of the company is Project Security Ltd - The Reliance Security Group - and they are a "special project" set up in 1997 to deal with road protests, by Reliance Security who provided security for many major protests, including M11 and Newbury. Reliance eventually lost the contract at Newbury as they were so incompetent. |

Their base is in a house called Wellside, and is just off the Newton Road, go over railway line coming north out of Stoke Hammond, and it is down the track on your right, right next to the railway line. Apparently there was a planning meeting going on whilst protesters were there, with the Council, contractors and Project Security. Protesters made them aware they were there, and the Council Media Spokeswoman came out to talk to them. |
