Not much apparently going on today, but interesting radio report - government advisors saying that within 20 years the nature of agriculture in this country will be changed completely. The cost of irrigation (drawing upon groundwater) to be increased soon for farmers in drier areas such as East Anglia to encourage them to grow less thirsty crops. Environment change? What environment change? Odd, isn't it. Nobody "in authority" seems able to spot the connection. ~ Seán |
