Demonstration against the huge new developments planned for the area took place in Leighton Buzzard today. Up to 40 demonstrators held placards or dressed as birds and airplanes to illustrate the conflicts and difficulties facing the locality as a result of Prescott's expansion plans and the intended expansion of Luton Airport. Most passers-by were supportive, but nevertheless - as dangerous radicals - we had our usual police accompaniment. Click on the small pictures below for a larger image from today's event.       |
